GUIDELINES FOR PATIENTS FOLLOWING REFERRAL
If you have been referred by your Doctor to a Specialist then your referral will be processed by the Doctor/Practice Team and majority of referrals are sent to Referral Management Service (RMS). If you have not received either an appointment or an information letter for a non-urgent referral within 8 weeks of your referral date, please ring the Referral Management Service (RMS) on 020 8865 2040. They will be able to tell you where and to which service your referral was directed. RMS will be able to give you the number for the hospital or clinics in order for you to contact them direct to chase your appointment.
For Physiotherapy/Musculoskeletal (MSK) referrals, please call 020 8349 7509 (If referral is to ICMSK, please contact RMS).
For Podiatry/Chiropody referrals, please call 020 8349 7363
For ICS (Intermediate Care Services)/Rapid Response referrals, please call 0845 389 0940

Ultrasound/CT/DEXA Scans, Blood Tests, Spirometry, Antenatal, Mental Health then you will need to contact the hospital directly on the numbers listed below.

Routine test results take approximately 5 working days to reach the surgery. To obtain the results of blood or urine tests you have had performed, please phone the surgery between 3-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
You will need to call the surgery for your results as you will not be routinely informed of these. If your result is abnormal and Doctor is concerned about it then he/she will call you to discuss your result. Please ensure that we have your correct contact details at all times
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release by completing a Consent Form.
There is a walk-in service for general x-rays, Monday to Friday 9:00 - 16:00 at Barnet Hospital - Tel: 020 8216 5100, Finchley Memorial Hospital - 020 8349 7437 (closed 12:00 - 14:00) and Chase Farm Hospital - 020 8375 1126. You will first need an X-ray referral done by your GP.
